NEMRC System FAQ
What versions of Windows does NEMRC Support?
Listed in order of NEMRC preference:
Windows XP Pro
Windows 7 Professional (The x64 version is not acceptable.)
Windows 7 Enterprise (The x64 version is not acceptable.)
Windows Vista Professional (The x64 version is not acceptable.)
Windows XP or 7 Home is acceptable for NON-NETWORKED Stand Alone Systems ONLY.
Windows 7 Home, Home Premium, Media Edition, Ultimate, versions ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE as they lack business features required by NEMRC software. XP upgrades are available for all versions through Microsoft. XP upgrades are available for all versions through Microsoft. However, there is no upgrade path to Windows 7 Pro - it must be specified at system purchase.
Microsoft will continue to offer support for XP through its extended support program through April 8, 2014. XP Professional is currently available as a downgrade license Windows 7 at the time of purchase, and should be requested if desired from the vendor at that time.
